Todi does not need introducion: it is one of the best conserved and nicer to visit medieval villages in Umbria. Set on a hill it offers incredible views on the countriside.

If you have the opportunity to stop there and it is lunch time don’t miss Ristorante Umbria. Hidden under the archs of the town hall, it is a bit difficult to find but once you enter you will be incredibly surprised.

The interior is warm and welcoming and from the terrace you enjoy a breathtaking view of the Martani Mountain chain and of the valleys that arrive to the slopes of the City of Todi. In summer it is a refreshing break.

Surely, Ristorante Umbria is a symbol of culinary excellence for Todi and above all is the custodian of the traditions of the real tuderte cuisine. The most important plates of the gastronomic history of the region are being reproposed on their menu for more than half a century.

The food is delicious. Umbrian food, which is reach in soups and meat including game. We tried the soup with farro and the smoked fillet of duck as first course and both were very well done. To follow tagliata and rabbit in salmi, perfect. Wine list eccellent.

But the view is worth the trip alone so make sure you book a table there. Enjoy!
