Meaty and trendy dinner in Prague

lokal

Prague is getting better and better and thanks to a young and dynamic population its offer of new restaurants and bars is growing constantly. And on the trendy side.  Thanks to my last trip there this week and to my local colleague Martina I went for dinner to a new one, LOKAL. The ambiance is trendy modern, with walls covered by paper that remembers you of your grandma, wooden decor but with moder “inserts”, techno buffet and beer bar.

The food – if you like meat and pork – is just perfect.

Homemade Czech cuisine and carefully handled beer that is draughted straight from the tanks into the glass. The head chef, Marek Janouch, prepares and seasons his meals in such a way that they are suitable for everyday consumption. The quality of Pilsner Urquell is supervised by Lukáš Svoboda, International Master Bartender.

The menu presents a variety of sausages which I tried and I must say some of the best ever had. The below is NOT our table!

I tried a kind of tartare, very good and to my taste much better than the French one and my friend had tongue, broiled and smoked with mustard and horseradish. Not exactly a light dinner but very tasty. And the place waas full to max capacity which apparently is always the case, so book! Last note, bill for two including two beers each: 20 EURO :)))
